16th June 2025 - Do it for you!

Season #2

Hello, beautiful souls. Welcome to today's contemplation. I want you to get really honest with yourself today and ask yourself, are you waiting for somebody else's approval, validation, or even accountability for you to do your inner work and for your inner work and personal growth to actually matter? For example, when we are building a personal brand or an online presence, it can be very easy, especially if whether it be healing or certain modalities or tools that we are using, and then sharing and teaching and guiding our audience with it can be very easy for us to do the inner work so that we have something to post, so that we have content, that we have things to create rather than doing the inner work for ourselves. It can be very easy also to wait for somebody else to prompt you, and what I mean by this is waiting for a challenge or one of those 30 day challenges or waiting for your group of friends to jump on board and say, should we do this together?

(01:12)

Like shall we every morning send each other five things that we're grateful for? Shall we every morning voice note each other about our goals and visions or whatever it might be, waiting for somebody else to say, yes, I'm going to do that with you before you actually do it? Are you doing these things for yourself because they matter to you? Are you motivated enough, driven enough, committed enough, dedicated enough to your own growth journey to show up and do the thing even when nobody's watching? Even when it's not for content purposes, even when it has nothing to do with your work and results that you could get from that, even when nobody else around you is showing up and doing the thing, even when nobody even sees half of the work that you're doing for yourself, they'll never know. They'll only see the growth in you, but they won't see what it is you've actually done for you. Are you still showing up and doing the thing?

(02:08)
This is the difference between somebody that grows despite what's going on around them, despite what anybody else is doing. This is the person who grows and rises at an exponential rate above their peers. This is the person that goes on, and I don't mean this from a place of competition. I'm not saying that the aim is to grow better than your peers. I want us all to rise together, but those who will do it for themselves, even when nobody's watching, they're the ones that win. They're the ones that succeed. Those who are always waiting for somebody else to validate, approve, or hold them accountable. Those are the ones who will always be restricted and limited by what other people show up for and what other people think, and other people's opinions and other people's perspectives and other people's behaviors. Those are the people that we continue to be conditioned by the world around them and find themselves chained and limited. So who are you going to be? Are you going to show up and do it for you because it matters to you? Or are you going to wait for somebody else to do it with you, or are you going to wait for somebody else to approve it? The choice is yours my love. The journey is yours.
