21st May 2025 - High Value Content Offer

Season #2

Speaker 1 (00:00):

Hello, beautiful souls and welcome to today's takeaway and contemplation. So today I actually want to talk to you about high value content offers or otherwise known as lead magnets. Now I'm in the middle of creating a very, very in-depth, high value content offer, and it got me thinking about the purpose of them and why so many people get stuck having created lead magnets that nobody wants and nobody downloads, and then wonder why their funnels aren't working or why I can't even give it away for free. I've heard that this week. I can't even give it away for free. And so I want to talk about a few things that will help you to improve your high value content offers to improve your lead magnet so that people actually download them. But I want to also remind you of what they're actually for. So when we look at lead magnets, and the reason that I like to use the real term high value content offer is because a lead magnet in this day and age has become any piece of downloadable content, and a lot of the time doesn't actually deliver something that's high value and therefore it never actually really converts.

(01:18)
So the purpose of your lead magnet is to give somebody an experience of what it's like to work in your business, to show them, and not just tell them, but to demonstrate to them that you are an expert in whatever it is that you are sharing with them, and that you can deliver on your promise and to position you as the authority the person they must buy from. It's to give them a real experience and it's to actually solve a real problem and not to give them hints of how you can solve a problem, but to actually solve the problem for them so that they leave feeling this was so worth it, they know exactly what they're talking about. This person can help me. I want more of this. I want to experience more of this. They walk away feeling that they have had a positive wow impact experience that then makes them want to continue to interact with your brand and ultimately leads them to becoming a paying customer.

(02:26)
When you offer information as an incentive in exchange for somebody's personal details so that you can build your email list or whatever it might be, you want to make sure that it is substantive content rather than some cheap gibberish that doesn't actually help them, just sells your offer to them, and that clogs up the internet and that nobody really wants or needs. You've got to treat your lead magnets as if it was a paid offer because this is the first impression that somebody has of your business. This is the first experience they have of investing something in you, time, energy, their personal contact details. It's the very first exchange of value your potential buyer makes with your business. You can't trick them into giving you their contact details and then send them a crappy one page PDF that is basically a sales pitch or a promotional piece about your company or that just tells them why you are so great and expect them to then value that and to want to work with you further.

(03:40)
It's like a quick way to turn potential buyers off of your business. So the goal is to wow them with this experience, and if you do it right, it's going to create and open the doors, the conversations to take place in their mind that lead them to going, wow, if this is what they're giving for free, imagine what's going to happen if I pay for a product or service. So you want to lead with your best foot forward and deliver incredible value. And I think one of the things that stops people from creating high value lead magnets is the fear of giving it all away for free, giving all of my knowledge, all of my info. If I give it all away to them for free, what will I have to show them on the other end? I used to walk with this fear and I realized that it was doing both me and my potential clients a disservice.

(04:37)
Now, when it comes to lead magnets, they're quite often either informational or experiential. Now, if it's informational and educational, you'll see that most people take information and education, but struggle with the implementation. So there's one thing that they will never be able to receive from you fully and wholly is guided support. You'll never be able to provide that in a lead magnet, even if it's a video or a masterclass or a workshop to its fullest potential. The implementation post, receiving that knowledge post, even receiving guidance within the workshop, it's like, what do I do with this now? What do I do with it next? That they're not going to ever fully get everything that you have to give. Second of all, if you are constantly mastering your field, getting better and better at what you do, learning more, growing more, which all of you in this space are, you will never, ever, ever be able to give it all away.

(05:41)
Even if you wrote 10 books on the subject, even if you delivered a hundred workshops, a hundred masterclass, you could never give away everything that you know because you are always learning more. You are always deepening your mastery. So you can't give it all away. You couldn't give it all away even if you tried. So you don't have to worry about that. And what most people are actually paying you for and are actually purchasing from you for is something that cannot be received in the pages of a book, is something that cannot be accessed in one hypnotherapy audio. So don't be afraid to solve a problem for them. Don't be afraid to make it a wow experience. Don't be afraid to give stuff away because this is what's going to create a loyal tribe, people that actually return to you over and over again. I don't want to download something that is absolutely of no use for me, delivers no value, and leaves me still with probably more questions than I actually have answers.

(06:49)
Create something that you would pay for and you will generate more leads than you could ever imagine. One final tip, like an extra bonus tip is that your headline does matter. When it comes to creating lead magnets that people want to download, the first thing they are going to see is that headline. So if your headline is not bold, captivating, immediately grabbing attention, they're going to scroll on by and they're never going to click to see the incredible value that you have inside. So when you say, I can't even give it away for free, it's time to look at your copy. It's time to look first at your headline and to look at the copy that you're using to advertise it with and to tweak that because it's not about the content inside. They haven't even seen that yet. They don't even know what's inside yet. So what you are looking at improving your click-through rate and for people to actually download the lead magnet is the copy itself. Okay, I'll see you in next takeaway. Bye.
