2nd May 2025 - Marketing Experimentations

Season #2

Amber Cherelle (00:00):

Hello, beautiful souls and welcome to today's takeaway. So in the past week, I've been having a little experiment with my Instagram. So for those of you who've followed me for a while, know that most of what I focused on has been my growth via networking, podcasting, and my main social media channel has been Facebook. Now, I've always had my Instagram there, but I've never paid very much attention to it. I've not used it regularly. I've never really focused on building my audience over on Instagram. And when I started last week, I had just under 500 followers on Instagram, and so I've decided to start paying a bit more attention to my Instagram just because I enjoy spending time over there at the moment, a lot more than I do on Facebook, although I still absolutely love Facebook and it is still my main channel. I'm starting now to expand and focus again a bit more on Instagram.

(00:54)
So I wanted to share with you what I've learned over this week in this period, in this experimentation, and I've just been playing with what felt aligned with me in my strategy. Now, one of the things that I realized is that I've been really good at utilizing my four line in my business. I've been really good at networking relationship building. I've been excellent at heart led content creation. I'm just plugging my laptop in. If you wonder what all that noise is, I've been really good at all of those things and I've neglected a lot of my one line energy. So for those of you who don't know, the one line energy is all about details, facts, research, and sharing that with other people because people find safety in the details of the one line and in the research of the one line, safety and security and safety and security is a prime factor for building trust with your audience.

(01:53)
So I decided that over on Instagram I was going to lean a lot more into my one line and I was going to lean into a lot of reel creation because I know that Instagram favors reels and stories and video content over standalone posts, which is what I've done a lot of over on Instagram before. And so the plan was to create content in advance to have a creation day, which I did on the Sunday, and then post a minimum of two reels per day, five stories per day, and then posts throughout the week. Now what I actually ended up doing was posting between one to two reels per day, a couple of posts that I cross posted from Facebook, and I did manage to keep up with the five stories per day. I had enough content for posting two reels per day, and most days I did, but just not every single day.

(02:49)
And what I have seen in results has been fantastic. I should also add that in those reels I lent into my one line. So I was providing facts, details, trainings, tips, tricks, all of those things that would be more poignant to me and my brand. And rather than overcomplicating it, trying to make lots of videos and editing and stuff, all I did was talking head reels, talking head reels, giving tips and facts, and then sometimes just a little POV post. And here's what happened. My audience has now crossed over 550 followers. I think it's 551 today and continues to grow. My engagement grew a little bit. It's still not where I want it to be, but I am seeing now more people liking posts and commenting on posts. So that's been fabulous.

(03:47)
I've also had people actually reaching out to me in my dm. So I've got a lot of DM conversations going on that I didn't have before. So audience has expanded and continues to do so. My DM conversations have increased, meaning that my lead base has increased. I have actually directly gained two new clients off of the back of just what I was doing on Instagram last week as well, and I've had a hell of a lot of fun doing it and it's actually been really easy to implement. So we're going to continue doing these things over on Instagram. A couple of other things that have really become apparent to me is that your hashtag research is absolutely key. So if you are under 10,000 followers at the moment, you want to be using hashtags that have between a thousand to 50,000 views users basically, or recent searches.

(04:43)
I can't remember what the tag is, but where it shows you how many times, like how popular this hashtag is, you want to be aiming for anything under 50,000. Anything over that is going to get lost in the crowd, and anything kind of under that thousand you are not going to get seen. So that's kind of the sweet spot, and I highly recommend doing your hashtag research and creating a list of about 15 to 20 relevant hashtags that you are going to use on in each of your posts. And then you can add a few that are relevant to that specific post as well. You don't need to use them all on every single post obviously, but just having that list there stops you from thinking about what is my hashtag going to be? And putting hashtags in that aren't actually going to get you the reach that you desire.

(05:26)
The other thing that I've learned as well, the more features that you use on Instagram. So using their live feature, using the reels features, but also using the stickers and audios specifically trending audios. Again, the more that content is going to get shown to more people and the more Instagram will favor your account. So I'll keep you up to date with this experiment. I'm going to play around with it a lot more over the coming months, but I just wanted to fill you in and I wanted to remind you as well that this is part of the business journey business marketing. As much as we can plan and get strategic, a lot of it is experimentation and when we're leading with energy first as well, it is really about trying things on and finding out what works for you, what fits for you, and what's energetically resonating with your soulmate client as well. So I'm going to leave that there. But yeah, let me know what platforms you are experimenting on at the moment. What are you doing? What might you try differently? What are your profile lines? If you want to share that with us in the community space, please do. And if you want some advice on how you can best market using your profile line information, then obviously ask for that as well and I can give that to you. Alright, have a wonderful day guys.
