9th April 2025 - Starting Your Day With Intentions
Hello, beautiful souls and welcome to today's takeaway.
How we start our day is really important to how our day will unfold before us and how we'll feel as we come up across challenges throughout the day. I want you to think about how you currently start your day at the moment. Do you jump out of bed at the last minute rush to get some clothes on, shove some food in your face, in the children's faces, and then get on with your day? Or do you wake up with enough time to think about what you are looking forward to today? Do you wake up with enough time to set intentions about how you want today to pan out, what you're looking forward to experiencing what you want to call in and bring in your business and feeling as if it's already happened? Do you spend some time thinking about what you are already grateful for, to have accumulated in your life and in your business so far?

Do you take a step out of bed and slowly get yourself ready, thoroughly nourish your body? Do you take some time to ground and to breathe and to move into your day with clarity? Or are you rushing all over the place? It might not seem like a big difference, but it can make all of the difference in the world. Giving your mind first thing in the morning, something to focus on, a vision of what it is you want the day to look like will help you to actually activate that reticular activating system. And the reticular activating system is the thing that when you look around, let's say you said, I really want to buy a pink bike. And you're walking down the street and on that particular day, you start seeing people riding pink bikes everywhere you go and you start seeing the exact pink bike that you had in your mind, the one that you've seen in the shop window that you wanted to purchase.

Now, those pink bikes were probably already always riding around every single day. Only. You didn't notice them. They weren't in your conscious awareness. Why? Because they didn't matter to you. But when you've told your mind and you've created a picture of something that you want to have, your reticular activating system goes, this is important to us. And so it starts bringing that thing that has always been there into your conscious awareness. And the more you start becoming consciously aware of it, the more you start seeing potential opportunities for how you can get the thing that you desire. And so this is what we want to do when we set our intentions in the morning. We want to be grateful for what we have because one step, one foot in gratitude and one foot in desire. But we also want to be activating that reticular activating system, the RAs, to look out throughout our day for the opportunities that are all around us in abundance for us to manifest everything that we desire into our lives and into our businesses.
