27th January - Waiting For The Results

Season #1

Amber Cherelle (00:00):

Hello, beautiful souls and welcome to today's takeaway. So on Saturday morning, I went to a strength training session, and at the end of the session, I walked away despite having given it my absolute awe, feeling like nothing had really taken place, my muscles felt fine and I felt like I could have gone on for another hour or so. Kind of felt like this session hadn't been lucrative. And then I woke up on Sunday morning and every single muscle was hurting. The backs of my thighs were burning, the fronts of my thighs were burning, my glute muscles were burning. And I was like, ah, there's that post-workout burn. And this reminded me so much of how we often experience business. We are working diligently on the backend. We're creating our content, we're reaching out, we're consistently showing up, we're consistently marketing, we're building relationships, we're doing all of the things.

(00:57):

And yet sometimes there doesn't seem to be any results coming through. And it can be very, very tempting to feel like we need to be doing more or we're not doing the right things. Or maybe we need to change our tactics, even though we haven't given ourselves a chance to reap the rewards, reap the benefits. And just like with working out, consistency is absolutely key. Even though I woke up Sunday morning with aching thighs and aching glutes, I still can't notice any physical visible changes in my body tone. However, I know that one session alone isn't going to get me the body and the level of fitness that I desire. But if I keep going to strength training every weekend and doing my home workouts during the week and going swimming and doing all of those things, that in a few months time, my body is going to start looking and feeling the way that I desire it to.

(01:59):

And this is the same for your business. Just because you can't see immediate results right now doesn't mean that things aren't working. Come back to trust. Come back to understanding the concept of the compound effect, where small changes may not be visible straight away, but the results will grow and grow. Until one day you'll look back and say, holy crap, look at this. This didn't seem possible a few months ago. And now I'm generating sales. My income's increased. I've got consistency in my income. My bank account is starting to become overflowing, and it all feels good and aligned. So what I would say to you is that there is a point where you might need to change what you're doing or tweak and shift and refine, but allow your business to go through a consistent cycle of like 30 to 60 days, trying out whatever it is you're trying on at the moment before you decide it's not working for you.

(02:53):

And then you can look at your analytics, look at your results, look at where might need tweaking and shifts and changes rather than trying to throw the whole thing out and starting all over again. It might simply need some refinements along the way. So don't get impatient. Drop into trust, drop into grounding and believing that everything that you are doing is enough to get you to where you desire to be. And sometimes it just takes a little while for the universe and the world around us to catch up. That's not a reason to give up beautiful soul. And that's not a reason to start all over again. Keep going. Be consistent. Analyze your progress. Make refinements, tweak things as you go. But don't stop.
