Hello, beautiful souls and welcome to today's takeaway. So I want to bring another contemplation forward for you today that has everything to do with you moving forward and taking steps towards achieving everything that you've determined that you desire over these first weeks of the new year. I know this is a time where many of us are kind of putting down the reflecting on the year that's gone before and where we're setting new intentions and goals and desires and dreams for the year ahead. And I want to make sure that you guys are armed to be able to make sure that you are consistently taking steps towards those dreams, becoming a reality for you sooner rather than later. And also by maintaining momentum throughout the entirety of the year. And what I've noticed most people doing at the beginning part of the year is going all in on their goals, dreams and ambitions.

(01:02)Like all of their energy being poured into it. They're committed, they're intentional, they're excited about it, really, really driven. And then we start getting into sort of February, march time and life takes over. Sometimes illnesses crop up, sometimes there's situations that arise, but whatever it is, we get distracted from our goals. Or maybe we start coming up against challenges and obstacles that make us lose our confidence, make us halt and stall in our momentum, and then struggle to get going again. And I don't want that to be you. I want you to get to February and March and then April and so on with that drive that you have now with the desire that you have now. So for me, there are a couple of things that make that possible. The first is remembering to use your energy sustainably. That means following your design type, your strategy and authority, understanding how you are designed to use your energy so that you're not depleting yourself so that the way in which you are working is actually energetically sustainable for you.

(02:23)So contemplate that today. How can I ensure that I'm working efficiently with my own energetic blueprint? And that's going to look different for every single person listening to this. The second thing for me is about pleasure. And I finally settled on a term word for the energy of 2025 for me. And that word is pleasure. We can bring pleasure into every aspect of our day. There is pleasure in how we wake up when we take time to bathe in that moment, to really appreciate that present moment, to be grateful for the fact that we've woken up today to be grateful for the fact that we're in a nice warm bed with shelter, to be grateful for what the day has in store, for us to be grateful for everything from the days that have gone before. We can seek pleasure in getting ready, in pampering ourselves and making sure that we're nourished through the breakfasts that we choose or the way that we choose to start our day. (03:33)We can find pleasure in interacting with our children as we get ready for the day. We can find pleasure in all of the little elements of our day that go together to make up our life. So pleasure is one of the key elements to ensuring that you are enjoying the journey and not just waiting to have fulfillment and waiting to have joy when you actually accomplish your goals. And some of you have got big goals, big projects that may take several months and you don't want to spend those several months not feeling happy or not feeling content and not feeling fulfilled. You want to feel that now whilst you're working towards it, so that the goal that you get to achieve gets to be the icing on top of the cake. And to do that, you want to be really fully enjoying your present moment.

(04:28)So with this, the contemplation becomes, how can I make each moment of my day enjoyable? And sometimes that's about your perspective, how you are seeing that moment of your day. Sometimes that's more about bringing things and elements of joy into what you do. Sometimes that'll be letting go of the things that are causing you a lot of stress and figuring out how you can accomplish the same end goal in a way that's more enjoyable for you. So one of those things for me about building pleasure is actually taking time in my breaks, not just to relax and which is also gorgeous by the way, but not just to relax, but to pamper myself, to nurture myself. So that might be doing some facial stuff or soaking my feet, or it might be like I did last week, going to get my nails done. But finding ways to bring pleasure into every aspect of your life.

(05:23)And that comes back to your business as well. So again, making sure that when you sit down to work, that you are approaching what you are about to do in a way that fulfills you. That might mean putting on some incredible music that gets you all jazzed up. That might mean connecting with people within your network that you love and that always make you feel inspired. Or it might simply mean doing the tasks that you love in your business first and finding other ways in which to change up the things that you don't like so much. But pleasure is a core part of you being able to maintain momentum. The more you enjoy what you do and the more you are enjoying your day, and the more you are enjoying your work, the more sustainable it'll be for you because it won't feel like a hard slog or something that you want to put off.

(06:12)Like you'll be excited to do it. You'll really want to do it. So pleasure is a key component as well. So we've spoken about human design alignment and using your energy sustainably. We've spoken about pleasure, but I want to speak about one more thing, which is doing one thing every single day for the next 365 days that moves you closer to your goal and making that your goal. So let's say you've got three or four life areas that you want to improve, that you want to work on, that you have goals and dreams and aspirations for. Look at the goals and dreams and aspirations that you have for that life area in the morning when you wake up. And then ask yourself for each of those life areas, what's one thing that I can do today that will move me closer to that goal? Just one thing.

(07:07)And so if you have goals around, I want to feel more energized and I want to feel healthier and have more vitality than one thing that you can do today that will contribute to that, maybe it's making sure that you get to bed earlier. Maybe it's making sure that you eat healthier. Maybe it's making sure that you move your body, whatever it's for you. Pick one thing. You have a goal in your business, which is to finally, I know, create that course that you've had on your mind that you were thinking about all year last year, but you never got round to, and you want to create that course. What's one thing? What's the next right step that you could do today that will get you, get the ball rolling, get you further along with that course creation process? And here's the thing, when we work like this, just focusing on one right next step every single day for each of our goals over the course of a year, there is no way that by the end of this year, you won't have accomplished what you desire to accomplish.

(08:12)If we start looking at the long game, the longevity of our projects, the longevity of our business, we realize that everything doesn't need to be done today. And if I didn't get it done today, it is a failure and then I'm behind somehow. If we look at our business as a constant forever evolution, I talk about this a lot, the ever evolution of your business growth, what it's going to be at the end of this year, and what it's going to become in three years time and what it's going to become in five years time.

(08:41)We take off that time pressure and just allow yourself to focus on what's next, what's the next right step? And if you do that every single day, even just for one of your goals, you will have taken 365 steps towards achieving what you want to achieve. And if you think about it, if you look at that goal and you break down all of the tasks that you need to do in order to accomplish that goal, most of the things don't even have 365 steps anyway. But if you just focus on the next right step every single day, you'll get there sooner than you ever could have imagined. If you try to do it all today, you'll burn yourself out and you might not ever get there. So what are your goals and what is the next right step today? And then go and do that and then rinse and repeat tomorrow. What are your goals? What's the next right step to help you get there? Go do that and rinse and repeat the next day and the next day and the next day.
